 About

Globus Gummiwerke GmbH was founded in 1906 in Ahrensboek, a small town north of Luebeck near the Baltic Sea. At the beginning we were specialized in the production of unvulkanised rubber seals for the just starting fish preserve industry. Various products- all of them for use with food or food processing - followed shortly after.

The past decades were dominated by the development of "technical" products i.e. together with well known German and international companies. Special products were developed which nowadays are used in all fields of engineering. Important markets are the automotive and textile industry as well as aerosole valve manufacturers.

Since 1994 Globus belongs to the Poppe Group of companies with more than 4000 employees and more than 10 facilities worldwide. As a member of this group Globus has the developing and production potential for a broad spectrum of elastomer products available. The strong net work of R&D capacities is a good basis to face the challenges of the future. The world is our market and we are fascinated by serving customers from different cultures and from all continents.
