Since 1961 BIELLA SHRUNK PROCESS has been devoted to improve and automate the fabric finishing technologies. At the base of the researches there is the tradition of the long wool finishing experience acquired internationally. In the same year the first autoclave decatising machine KD (registered trade mark) was made and quickly reached a worldwide diffusion thanks to its permanent finishing and to the guaranteed dimensional stability. Beside the several attempting to imitate our performances, nowadays over 1,200 installations are working all over the world, confirming the market leadership.
The daily contact with the finishing technicians of the top level wool manufactures in Biella has improved the experience and the quality development research. New technologies have been developed and new systems have been designed. The present young and dynamic structure of BIELLA SHRUNK PROCESS offers to the customers a wide range of cloth finishing machines suitable both to the wool and man-made fibre sectors. Thanks to a developed techno-commercial network, BIELLA SHRUNK PROCESS reaches a 75-80% export quota. In the main markets it is available a local technical assistance guaranteeing a professional and prompt after sales service.
The construction of the machines takes place in different production plants in the Biella area, that totalize a covered surface over 12,000 sqm. A test facility has been set up at the new Cerreto Castello (BI) plant for quality control and to develop new technologies.
