ERGOTRON is producing electronic speed variator drives since 1975.

In a first phase it has covered a wide range of applications in several industrial sectors, then it has concentrated its own activity in the textile looms automation, becoming the first one in the world to develop an electronic warp let-off drive, making this way a step forward in looms automation and in the removal of defects of various kind on the fabrics, with a consequent increase in loom efficiency and quality.

Since then ERGOTRON has operated mainly in the textile sector, by actively cooperating with various loom manufacturers and creating a wide commercial network extended all over the textile world.

At the end of years '90s it has made big investments in research and development for increasing the technology of the Company that have given a new generation of drives, called ERGODRIVE, provided with the latest motion control technologies which better use all the potentiality given by the actual digital technology.

This family of drives already includes the four main applications for a textile loom such as warp let-off, cloth take-up, cloth winder and main drive.
