MAGEBA was founded in 1957 by Hans Stang in Wuppertal-Barmen, the centre of German narrow fabric industry. Initially MAGEBA focussed on the manufacture of dyeing and finishing machines for narrow fabrics. The growth of the company proceeded rapidly including more and more machine sectors for narrow fabric production. Today MAGEBA has a vast product programme ranging from weaving, including preparation, finishing and making up. MAGEBA is in the position to offer the complete range for narrow fabric production from one supplier. |

In 1967 MAGEBA relocated to Bernkastel-Kues on the Moselle river, the centre of one of Europe´s most charming cultural landscapes famous for its fine wines. On this site MAGEBA has grown to one of the world´s leading suppliers for machines and equipment to the worldwide narrow fabric industry. In 1969 Hans-Peter Stang, the son of the founder and today´s owner of the MAGEBA-Group joined the company, and it is again his son, Oliver who has assumed the responsibility as a joint managing director of MAGEBA and continuing the family tradition. In August 2005, also Hans-Peter Stang’s daughter – Anna-Katharina Stang - joined the company. After her studies of international management she started working in the financial administration of the company, thus supporting her brother Oliver in that field. Among manifold tasks within the financial department she dedicates herself intensely to the support and the mentoring of young trainees for office organization, a task of utmost importance because after their 3 years’ training period, we select the best to stay with our company to form the basis of our well trained and committed staff. |

Since the foundation of the company, a close contact to customers and the suppliers of application technologies has always been strongly emphasized and has been of utmost importance in order to take advantage of the mutual dialogue to the benefit of everybody involved. It has always been and today it is more than ever one of MAGEBA´s most important concerns to maintain the dialogue with our customers worldwide, which is supported by more then 40 representatives, some being MAGEBA subsidiaries. |

At MAGEBA machines for the entire production cycle of narrow fabrics are on display and shown in full operation in the R & D section. The machines comprise of warping machines, narrow fabric needle looms, dyeing and finishing ranges, press and friction calanders, measuring and making up machines, inspection machines and special purpose products. MAGEBA technicians offer problem solutions to customers by means of trial runs and finding appropriate recipes in the dyeing section, with special coating or finishing recipes in the finishing section, but also solutions and special constructions in the needle loom section. |
