Dell'Orco & Villani is located in Capalle, about 15 km. west of Florence, in the heart of the Prato textile area, considered the ancient centre of yarn and cloth production as well as the capital of the woollen industry. The company was founded in Prato in 1964 and in 1970 it moved into its present 3.000 m?modern building located close to important communication centres such as Highways A1, A11 as well as Florence "Amerigo Vespucci" and Pisa "Galileo Galilei" international airports.
The move to its present spacious facilities coincided with a marked shift in the company's mission. Originally the firm was involved in the repair and construction of textile machinery primarily for the local area. Fast growth and larger modern premises made it possible to expand not only its range of machinery, but also its markets, leading to its present position: a world leader in the manufacture and world wide supply of machinery and complete plants for the recycling of textile waste and fibre opening and blending. /uploadfiles/2008/6/2008630101821223.jpg |
