Startes Jacquard was founded in 1937 by Luca Giovenzana and Vittorio Leoni.
The company, born in the city of Monza, created sketches and designs; opening the door to the production of jacquard weaving products to manufacture textiles such as: damasks, lampas, tapestries, upholstery etc.

1950 was opened the department for the manufacture of jacquard harnesses; accessories necessary and directly tied to the weaving of fabric.

In the 80’s by adopting the newest informatic technologies. Startes Jacquard is an advanced producer of jacquard harnesses all over the world.

In 1993 the harness department moves to Villasanta (MI), notably increasing its production capability.

In 1997 acquires the company Cesare Borsa Srl leader in the production of harnesses for the narrow fabrics industry.

In 1998 the company Margherita Spa was inaugurated in L’Aquila to increase production and improve the quality of braided cords that is a major component of jacquard harnesses. Today in Margherita on 5000 square m are setup more than 1.200 braiding heads with 15 winding devices and 4 finishing lines.

Startes Jacquard has settled an internal laboratory, with sofisticated analysis instruments to research and develop solutions for harnesses of new generation.
